News and Events

Friends,

On behalf of the vestry, we are pleased to announce that Rev. Meg Finnerud, our current supply priest, will join us on a more permanent basis effective with the signing of her contract to be St. Saviour’s Priest-in-Charge early next year.

As Priest-in-Charge, Meg will perform all the functions of a parish priest, but will work on a part time basis. We expect Meg to serve for three years, at which time she would be eligible to become our full time rector, subject to the agreement of all parties. She and her husband Ken will be living in the rectory.

By way of background, Meg has an undergraduate degree from Duke University (1987), and then pursued a 20-year career in marketing, fund raising, and international trade. In 2010, Meg graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Divinity with a Master’s in Divinity and has since devoted herself to a series of ministries, serving as an  Assistant to the Rector at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Greenwich, and as the Rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Southport, North Carolina. In 2013, Meg also earned an STM degree in church history at the General Theological Seminary in New York. Meg has three grown children and is an avid golfer.

Meg is very much looking forward to meeting you all, and is already presiding at our Sunday services.

See you in church!

The Vestry
