St. Saviour’s - Building Community through Faith, Service, and Hope.
Verse of the Week: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20
Thought for the Week: We have a tendency in this life, I think, to believe that bigger is better. We convince ourselves that we need more to make things happen. These words from Matthews Gospel remind us that while community is critical to God’s mission and our own spiritual health, community can be found among just two or three of us who come together in His name. And the reason that makes sense is because in that space, a space that might seem too restricted or confined for anything to actually happen, seemingly in need of more participants, ideas, wisdom and thought, God is there with us always. He is within our hearts and minds bringing us the peace, comfort and hope that we need to fully be in relationship with Him and with each other. That is a community. And that is how God’s love can reach the world.
Saint Saviour’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming neighborhood parish in the heart of Old Greenwich, sharing God’s grace through worship, fellowship, compassionate service, and care for all who seek faith, hope, and belonging.
